Chicken
a la King
1 cube butter
½ cup
flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 cup ½
and ½
1 cup chicken
stock
½ lb
cooked chicken, cut into pieces
1/4 lb
sautéed mushrooms
Melt the butter
in the top of a double broiler. Blend in flour and
salt. Heat until slightly thickened. Slowly add milk, ½
and ½ and
chicken stock.
Cook
thoroughly, add chicken meat and mushrooms. Mixture will be
slightly thick. Serve in pastry shells.
